Dudley Chateau: Check out Wayland’s Hidden Gem this Summer

Categories: Local Restaurants, River Trail Place, Wayland | Posted: June 5, 2015

The Dudley Chateau is one of the Town of Wayland’s hidden gems.  This seemingly hole in the wall pub overlooking the water at Dudley Pond has been a favorite hangout spot of Metrowest locals for years, and is also available for hosting fundraisers or special events, and the sunsets viewed from the “Chat” are stunning. From the Dudley Chateau Website:

Dudley Chateau “Originally built in the early 1920’s as a private fishing lodge, the Chat became a speakeasy during Prohibition.  After that, it was a men’s drinking club for the likes of baseball greats Ted Williams and Babe Ruth.  Then it became The Chat, feauting food, drink, and a million-dollar view.  A hometown family favorite, who’s owners Ken and Mandy Phillips say ‘The Bottom line, is that we’d like everyone who comes up the stairs here to feel welcome.”

The ‘Chat’

This Summer the Dudley Chateau will be featuring an open mic night with live music from local musicians, and the Chateau invites all those interested in performing to attend.  ‘Wayland’s favorite hangout’ and it’s beautiful sunset are only a short drive from your new home at River Trail Place.

Raising a Family in the Wayland, MA Community

Categories: River Trail Place, Town Center, Wayland | Posted: July 8, 2014

The Wayland Community is a great place to raise a family.  Wayland’s public school system is one of the finest in the Commonwealth, and according to a recent study by the website, Wayland is rated the second safest town in the entire state.   The study describes Wayland as “wonderful for young families…this stable progressive community not only offers award winning schools, but also boundless activities, events, and festivals.”

The article also mentions the Wayland Children and Parent’s association, a group committed to maintaining the strong sense of community through bringing together families with children that live in the town.  The WCPA website states their commitment to welcoming new families to the town, “The WCPA benefits Wayland families by promoting social interactions and by sponsoring educational and fundraising events. We recognize that it can be difficult to get to know other families with young children in any community, so we offer programs that provide parents and children the opportunity to establish new friendships, explore area resources and get more involved with the community.  Whether you have just moved to Wayland or have been here for a few years, we welcome you to participate in the fun by joining the WCPA.”

The new construction condominiums at River Trail Place in Wayland, MA provide residents with a unique opportunity to enjoy luxurious, maintenance free living in one of the Commonwealth’s most scenic towns while simultaneously enjoying the convenient access to fine dining and shopping typically reserved for large cities.  Wayland’s convenient access to Boston, alongside Wayland’s excellent school system and conservation space, make the town one of the most favorable in the entire state.

The convenient access to Boston allows the residents at River Trail Place to be at Fenway Park to catch a Sox game or the TD Garden for some Bruin’s playoff Hockey in less than 30 minutes.  Or, for those who would prefer to take public transportation into the city, River Trail Place is located 8 miles from the Riverside T Station on the green line, which stops at both Fenway Park for the Sox and North Station for the Bruins and Celtics.  Public transportation is particularly useful for the Championship parades that Boston franchises have brought home to the city in recent years, and here’s to hoping the Bruins host one this year!

Fenway Park

For those residents who would prefer not to travel to the city for a game, River Trail Place is conveniently located in walking distance to The Local Restaurant, where you can watch a game with friends & neighbors.  Or, if you’d rather cozy up on your living room couch to watch the game by the fireplace, we couldn’t blame you either.

The Local

The master craftsmanship of national award winning builder Brendon Homes, combines with our convenient Wayland location to allow you to embrace living where the life is.
